Who am I?

I’m a 21 year old graphic design addict.
When I was 13 I visited FCB Auckland as part of a field trip with my middle school, ever since seeing the Pak’nSave stickman being animated in-front of my eyes i’ve wanted to work in the same industry.

I’m a empathetic individual that strives to learn and become the best designer I can be.
I work best within a team and love creating smiles for people (and dogs too).

AUT taught me the fundamental skills of graphic design. How the industry goes about creating a concept on a napkin, to a billboard in Times Square, NYC. I believe that through the combination of AUT’s classes, as-well as my own natural curiosity of what makes
“good design” makes me a rather unique individual.

Earlier academic life

Ever since I was a kid I’ve had a leadership mentality towards life; first in, last out.
My first taste of leadership came from my year 8 camp at Tongariro National Park,
I was designated as the “Camp Leader”, later that same year I was awarded as the “Senior Leader” during the final year assembly I hosted.

I graduated Wentworth College as the Arts and Primary school prefect in 2021, one of twelve prefects chosen from our year group. Being a Cambridge curricular school, I placed top of my year in AS level Technology and Design.

Co-curricular activities

At 15 I got my second blackbelt in the martial art of Taekwondo, I had been doing it for almost 8 years at that point and felt it was time to move on. Nevertheless, the diligence and perseverance I had learned from years of training sticks with me today.

After joining Wentworth College in year 9, I tried out for the hockey team, I fell in love with the sport and took it every year until I graduated in year 13. It was an escape from the endless essays and tests.
