Motion design is fun.

As year 1 came to a close I wanted to “jump the gun” and begin learning Adobe After Effects prior to year 2, I knew that one of my classes would require me to use the program, and thought that by learning it in advance I would have the edge.

These animations set a basis of what I knew I could achieve in such short amount of time. While most of these videos were used as experimentation and never implemented in any real capacity, motion design remains one of my favourite kinds of design.

In this animation I wanted a “blade-runner” feel to the final output. The glitch effect was utilised heavily throughout this animation and sound effects were added to test my ability to sync video to audio.

This animation was used in a Strategic Design class in my second year. My group created a business revolved helping students and ducks were used as our mascot. I designed the duck and animated it. This was my first time creating an illustration to be used for animation.
